Aprone's Discombobulated Casino!
(Totally separate from WoW)

Now that Blizzard Entertainment has shut down all forms of play-gambling in World of Warcraft, what are the people supposed to do that used to play those games? Fear not! So we can't gamble our World of Warcraft money or items... not big deal. Come to Aprone's Discombobulated Casino to play various type of games for fake money. I know what your thinking... this won't be fun because in the old casinos we could win WoW money. The point was usually to brag to friends about how lucky you were at those casinos... you can do the same thing here!

I have to say this again... Aprone's Discombobulated Casino is TOTALLY SEPARATE from the World of Warcraft game! This is a place for people to play gambling style games with fake money just for the fun of testing their luck. The fact that many members met within WoW is not important!

Infernal Coin Box

What types of games are at the Casino?

Aprone's Casino features 3 different "Infernal Coin Boxs" (or slot machines), "Spinnie Table", "Whirly Wheel", and "Pebble Dice".Spinnie Table

Each of the Casino games run on "Coins" (fake money) which will be given to you upon creating an account and joining the Casino. Coins can be traded between Casino players so friends can help eachother out inbetween jackpots.

Whirly WheelThe most exciting feature of Aprone's Casino is that players are able to host their own games! If your less into playing the games and more interested in running them, you can select a game... adjust a player's odds of winning, decide how much it costs to play, and decide how much players can win! You can then dump coins into the game to "Stock it" and people will come to play! Because players will be able to see each game's settings, players will be able to make informed decissions as to which game(s) they will play.Pebble Dice

Slap a catchy phrase on your game, offer a luring jackpot, and sit back while players swarm to your game... imagine the possibilities! Game hosts recieve 90% of each "Coin" played at their game(s). 5% goes to the Casino and the other 5% goes to whomever refered that player to the Casino! With the referal system... the more people you get to come play, the more free "Coins" will start appearing in your account!

What are the advantages over old in-game WoW Casinos?

Being involved in "Aprones Discombobulated Casino" has some advantages over typical in-game WoW Casinos.

1) WoW casinos no longer exist!... Aprone's Casino is atleast a place to come and gamble some fake money for the fun of testing your "luck".

2) In-game Casinos were VERY limited to the types of games they could offer to their players... Aprone's Casino gives a handful of different types which can all be adjusted to fit your needs.

3) Few In-game Casinos were credible... at Aprone's Casino all games run on fake money.

4) People have reported that players could CHEAT the /Random command In-game because it is handled by the client and not on the server... All of Aprone's Casino's games are processed TOTALLY by the server so nothing can be tampered with by the players.

5) In-game Casino players could only play when a Casino guy was online (assuming they could even Trust him/her)... In Aprone's Casino you can play basically 24/7 as long as you have "Coins" left.

6) In-game Casinos could have trouble finding people to play their games... Everyone at Aprone's Casino is there looking to play games!

<Legend of Zelda NES>A Word on Gambling

Since this is my first Mini-game which falls into the realm of "gambling" I think it is important to explain myself. When it comes to Real-life, I am personally against gambling and I see it as a dishonest way to gain money. Of course, video games are in existence to give us an escape from the limitations/consequences of real life. Gambling has been present in games dating WAY back to the good old days of Zelda and I don't personally see any problem with it. As long as people realize that video games are not real life, we can continue to use them to do things we could/would not do in real life.

How do I get started?

To begin with, contact Aprone (in WoW) and you will be given some coins to start with. Everyone begins with the same amount of coins.

2 Reported Errors

In the past 1 player said they always got the "Website not responding" error when trying to log on. That message normally means the site has a lot of traffic at the moment and you can try again in a few minutes. This particular person was using an old AOL version which caused this error never to let them in the Casino.

Fairly recently a player recieved a message from their AntiVirus software that said a trojan program was attached to the caino software... this was Not True. After investigating we found that he was using one of those free/shareware/ect AntiVirus programs which are designed to simply stop any small program from accessing the internet. Those programs are not very "smart" and that's exactly why they are cheep/free! LOL. If you get such an error, don't automatically freak-out unless your using an updated copy of Norton, McAfee, or another quality Anti-V product. Like it is stated above, every file of the Casino software has been scanned using an updated version of Norton anti-virus... plus many people are using the software that have other credible products and no reports have been made about problems (except that 1 false alarm).

The Built-in Games

Aprone's Casino comes equiped with 3 slot machines (called Infernal coin boxes). They are simple to use and were actually what launched the entire Casino idea. Before the Casino players were coming to play only a single coin-box. It got such great reviews from players that an entire Casino was built!

JACKPOT: Getting all 4 of 1 image wins you the current JACKPOT which is (15% of coins played during the previous jackpot + 75% of coins played during this current jackpot). That may seem a little crazy, but the reason the winnings also come from the previous jackpot is so that even if 2 people win in a row there will be money there to win.

FULL HOUSE: Getting 1 of each image wins you 3 coins. These are a good way to slowly increase the number of coins you have to work with.

3-OF-A-KIND: Getting 3 of the same wins you 1 coin. When this happens you have won back the coin you just used so that you can play again.

I havn't done all of the math for this so far... but your overall odds of winning a jackpot are something like 1 in 50. The odds of getting either a Full House or 3-Of-A-Kind are something like 1 in 10 and finally 1 in 16. Someone please correct me if im wrong.

*Referal Bonus*

As an extra bonus to encourage people to tell friends and others about this game (many people are bummed out about no more WoW gambling), there is a built-in Referal system. If a player plays at the Casino and they mention your name as their referal, it is tracked in the server. From that point on, for every coin that that person uses you will have 5% of a coin automatically added to your account. Though it may not seem like much, if you have a handful of active players listed as referals of yours... you will definately notice the free coins appearing in your account.
