The Key Tower
(Sponsored by Aprone)

Welcome to the exciting game: "The Key Tower"created by Aprone. The game is currently only being offered to [World of Warcraft] players on the Lothar server.

<No game is scheduled at the moment>

The idea behind "The Key Tower" is to get your hands on 3 keys needed to open the treasure chest and win the prize. There are 3 types of keys (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) and 3 types of Gems (Ocean, Fire, and Earth). Each key has 1 Gem on it... making for a total of 9 Keys.

To open the treasure chest you need 3 Different Keys that fit this formula:

- All 3 Keys must either be all the same type (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) or all 3 must all be different (one of each type).

- All 3 Gems must either be all the same type (Ocean, Fire, or Earth) or all 3 must all be different (one of each type).

If your the first to get 3 Keys that fit both rules... you win!

What exactly are these Keys?

Each Key is actually a letter which states the Key it represents. The Keys cannot be faked because all of the real Keys will say "Written by Seashell" when you move your mouse cursor over them.

So how do you get these Keys?

At the start of the game, Aprone will take each of the 9 Keys and place them into the Auction House at IronForge. The auctions will all be set on the shortest amount of time and none will have buyouts.

The Keys (letters) will be placed on the Auction house randomly so there will be no way of knowing which letter is which Key. Type "Plain letter" into the AH(auction house) inorder to see and bid on the Keys (letters). Notice that all of the "Keys" will be being sold by Aprone. Don't bid on any letters that are not being sold by Aprone because they are not Keys!

Try your best to win some of the Keys. Even if you are only able to get ahold of 1 you will have a chance. Once the Auction time expires and you have your Key(s) they are yours to freely trade/sell/give to others. Keys will quickly increase in value as players scramble to buy them from eachother. As soon as you have atleast 2 Keys, you will be able to determine what Key you need to make a winning set. It is probably best if you do not announce what Key you need to win or people either won't trade it to you or will want to charge you outrageous amounts for it! The best idea will be to announce what Key you are wanting to sell/trade and have others come to you. Don't be affraid to sell your Keys for more than you paid for them... it is very possible that players who don't end up winning will have made nice profits by selling their Keys to others. Once someone turns in a winning set, the game ends and the Keys are worthless. It is possible that a person may have accidentally turned in an incorrect set of Keys... until the web site officially shows the game has ended you may choose to continue playing in hopes that you can still win. If you have only a single Key and can't get a second from anyone... you may want to consider selling it to either make a profit or atleast break even before the game ends.

Once you get 3 Keys that fit both rules... QUICKLY mail all 3 Key-letters to Aprone so that your the first! The winner will recieve 10g +PLUS all the money the keys sold for at the Auction house! (only 1 winner, no 2nd place). Even if Aprone is standing right next to you, you MUST mail the 3 Key-letters to him. It takes mail 1 hour to arrive but it still must be done. It would not be fair to hand him the answer because someone who finished faster than you may have mailed it but it's still during that 1 hour delay. To keep things fair it must be mailed.

I am throwing in some of my own money to help the Jackpot get started. As the bids on the Keys climb higher and higher so does the Jackpot! Try to encourage others to play too because if there are enough people playing the Jackpot could easily climb to over 50G!
If you find yourself unable to win any Keys then I would appreciate it if you tried to encourage others to read this site and jump into the action for themselves.

Never forget that the other people are working AGAINST you. They won't always cooperate, and some may try their best to trick or cheat you to slow down your chance of winning before them. Never buy a Key unless it says it was "Written by Seashell"! If it doesn't, it's a fake!

It is important to understand what makes a set of Keys a winner or not. If you don't understand, take a look at these examples and see how they fit (or don't fit) the 3 rules. If you are still unsure, ask other players, post on the forum, or finally mail Aprone.

Some examples of winning Key sets:

Hopefully you can see how Key type and Gem type are looked at separately to check if they fit the rules.
In each set the Key types are either all the same or are all different.
In each set the Gem types are either all the same or are all different.

Some example Key sets that are NOT winners:

First example is wrong because the Gems should be either all the same kind, or 1 of each.
Second example is wrong because the Key type should be either all the same kind, or 1 of each.
Third example actually cannot happen in this version since there will only be 1 of each key available.

Good luck, and have fun!

P.S. If possible, please support the game

Getting games like these "off the ground" can be Very difficult. People don't trust games for fear that someone won't give out the jackpot once there is a winner. It takes time for a game owner to build up credibility so that he/she is generally trusted. Only after there is general trust can the game truly become fun for everyone.

To help people see that I can be trusted (and that I have a good game) I have been running tests of my games using my own money as the rewards. As you can imagine, it's not easy handing out 10g here and 10g there to fund these games all by myself. The best way to help me is to encourage others to play. If you hear people talking bad about me or the game then please stick up for me. You'd be supprised how many people will automatically assume I'm some game-con-artist and will do all that they can to tell people not to trust me or play my games. If you hear people saying things about me/my game that are not true, I ask you to please let the truth be known. Thank you.
